Paved Paradise (12/1) came home strongly from the back to land the Bar One Racing.com Handicap for Eddie Harty and Mark Gallagher at Dundalk.
Market-leaders Blastofmagic (7/2) and Ar Saoirse (9/4 favourite) ran well, but not well enough to fend off the finishing burst of Paved Paradise.
Ultimately the Harty runner beat Blastofmagic by two lengths with half a length back to Ar Saoirse in third.
“She broke her maiden over seven here but when we brought her back here over seven I just said to Mark 'she doesn't stay does she' and he said 'no',” explained Harty.
“I thought it might be a bit sharp today but she's done well. She stayed at it and when it became more of a stamina test she had the fortitude to go through with it.
“When we get nicer ground during the summer she'll go on to the turf and we'll see how far she can go. She's won twice now and you can't ask much more of her.
“We'll see what the handicapper does and take her as far as she can go. Hopefully she can spend the rest of the year moving up through the handicap and we can have a bit of fun.
“I'd say her trip is six. That's an easy five but they went very hard early on and played to her bit of stamina.”
