Red Spinner comes home in front under David Mullins

David Mullins continues to progress in the amateur ranks and after his Galway Festival success last week on his father Tom's Princely Conn, he teamed up with Liam Cusack to take victory in the last race at Roscommon, the Boyle Flat Race, on 16/1 shot Red Spinner
Sporting the familiar Last Time D'albain silks of the Fontstown Syndicate, Mullins got the twice previously raced son of Redback home by a length and a half from nicely-backed second favourite Railway Rule There was a length and a quarter back to the 'jolly,' Heated Debate
Jane Tiffin, Cusack's partner, said afterwards: "Liam is in Cork but his runner there didn't go because the ground changed. He just said the ease in the ground helped this fellow and that whatever he did here is a bonus as he is a great jumper." (DM & EM)
