King's Song was a wide-margin winner at Perth just over a week ago and he is likely to be among the leading lights in the Dr. E.F. Logan OBE Memorial Giltspur Scientific Handicap Hurdle at Downpatrick on Monday afternoon.
Gordon Elliott 's runner triumphed by 15 lengths on that latest start and he will face Ronan McNally's The Jam Man who was a winner at Hexham on his most recent effort, in pursuit of this E15,000. Sonowyouno for Edward O’Grady and Jessica Harrington’s Maple Lawn would be others of note.
Elliott runs top-weight Present In Court in the hannontravel.ie Best Dressed Gentleman Win A Luxury Cruise Maiden Hurdle, but he appears firmly up against it with Willie Mullins’ Little Nugget in opposition.
A six-and-a-half-length bumper winner on his debut at Wexford last month, he could be the one to beat.
All eyes are likely to be on Mullins’ runner, Royal Rendezvous in the closing KN Group INH Flat Race.
An expensive purchase after winning a point-to-point, he cut little ice on his debut at Galway but this looks an easier prospect, although Whoshotthesheriff cannot be ruled out. Caltex sets the standard in the AJC Group Ladies Upstyle Hair Competition Win A Trip To Nice Beginners Chase while Melly And Me Paris Texas and Silver Star are among those to be considered in the opening Mash Direct Maiden Hurdle.
