It was quite a day for apprentice jockey Andrew Slattery who enjoyed a treble in Limerick that paid almost 1,358/1. Nothing To Lose kept finding for the young jockey to close out the nightcap on the card by half a length at 12/1.
The placings were filled by runner-up Cyrus Dallin (20/1) then Mona Bell (16/1) and Stormy Tale at 18/1 in third and fourth respectively.
Andrew Slattery said: "I haven't had a double before, never mind a treble!
"I'm 17, am still in school and am apprenticed to my father. Luckily enough I'm getting plenty out of it and people are looking after me."
His other winners on the card came on Insignia Of Rank (9/2) and Yo Tambien at 18/1 for Nothing To Lose's trainer John McConnell who secured a double.
McConnell said: "I'm delighted; he has been slow to come down the handicap and he needed to come down to that mark. He has been all year coming down to that without winning anything but he obviously loves that ground and received a good ride.
"Andy said he idled in front and we thought we were going to get run out of it there but I'm delighted to get the win before the end of the year because he won't go to the all-weather with him.
"We're running out of ammo a bit now but we've had 24 winners in the past six months. This is my best year and I put it down to having nice horses A lot of them were at the right end of the handicap and I'm already worrying about next year trying to restock; we don't want to go backwards."
