After winning the third on Adelisa Mikey Sheehy doubled his tally aboard Anyonecanhaveitall in the www.thurlesraces.ie Handicap.
Successful in the Ulster Cesarewitch at Down Royal last month, the Mick Halford trained five-year-old since finished third to Sea Appeal at Listowel.
Sent off a 4/1 chance this afternoon, the Garrett Freyne owned bay was settled in mid-division taking closer order on the outer approaching the straight.
He came with his challenge from the two furlong pole and had a good battle with Dawn Of The West inside the final furlong, getting on top in the closing stages, going on to prevail by half-a-length.
The runner-up was returned at 22/1 under Colin Keane for Noel Meade, while Nibblers Charm was another three and three parts of a length back in third, with Conor Clarke aboard this 7/2 chance for Ray Hackett. Call Me Dolly who was sent off the 13/8 favourite from early shows of 7/2, finished a disappointing seventh.
Halford said afterwards: "He stays well and Mikey gets a good tune out of him.
"He's in the Horses-In-Training Sale at Goffs later in the month and the owner might send him there.
"Two miles gives him time to warm up into it and he's a right good fun horse."
Mikey Sheehy earlier picked up a five day ban for careless riding on All In The Mind who filled the runner-up spot in the second race on the card.
STEWARDS REPORTS
G.F. Carroll, rider of Call Me Dolly trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met with interference in the straight.
W.J. Lee, rider of Dalileo trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dalileo, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
D.W. O'Connor, rider of Machine Learner (GB) trained by J.F. Levins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped off slowly in this race.
The Stewards enquired into an incident about one hundred and fifty yards from the finish involving Nibblers Charm, ridden by Conor Clarke, placed third and Call Me Dolly, ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced, where it appeared that Call Me Dolly ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence G.F. Carroll stated that his mount was staying on to be placed when she ran short of room. Conor Clarke stated that his mount was making ground when he began to roll which he tried to correct by changing his whip hand but he continued to drift inward. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to advise Conor Clarke to ride with more care in the future.
