Sharp Object made a successful debut under Rules when taking the OCL Laundry (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race with considerable style at Ballinrobe.
The Diamond Boy filly filled the runner-up spot on her only point-to-point start for Pat Turley in April and the following month was snapped up for 42,000 by John McConnell at Doncaster.
The 100/30 chance was sent to the front approaching the straight and soon asserted under Alex Harvey, keeping on strongly inside the final furlong to beat the 13/8 favourite Switch From Diesel by four and a half lengths. Prove Yourself was a further length and three quarters away in third.
McConnell said, "That wasn't unexpected, her work's been lovely. We got her off Paddy Turley who does a very good job with his breezers and his point-to-pointers. She came highly recommended and she's done nothing but please us since we got her.
"I'm delighted to win for the people involved. Obviously they're a big syndicate and it's great to get off the mark with the first horse we've had for them.
"They under-bid me at the sales for her and came in on her, because she was probably good value and she looks good value now anyway
"She'll probably go to Gowran in a couple of weeks for a Listed mares' bumper if she come out of this all in one piece and the ground's not too bad.
"Diamond Boys handle soft ground but she has no bother with nice ground. She's pretty decent so I'd say she'll handle most types of ground."
