Sligo winner Call Rog ventures into handicap company for the first time at Wexford on Saturday and will be fancied by many to run well for Mouse Morris and Mark Walsh.

He contests the feature Casey Precast Handicap Steeplechase over two miles three. He trounced his rivals by seven lengths in that Sligo novice chase and after seven runs in that grade looks well prepared for this contest on a rating of 121.

Foritsa has won his last three handicap chases including over course and distance last time out in March. He could be dangerous on his seasonal reappearance. Others to note are He’s Our Man, ridden by Davy Russell, and Tisamystery

Top-weight Dick Dundee won this race last year, but would need to step up on his last two runs.

Illtakeitfromhere has an ideal opportunity to score over fences in the opening beginners’ chase.

Paul Nolan’s charge is nothing if not consistent having filled the runner-up berth three times in-a-row. Ballinard Billy in the first-time visor, wouldn’t need to find much improvement on his last run to be a major player. He was only beaten three quarters of a length into second in a Tipperary novice chase.

Getittogether was a beaten favourite in seventh that day and reopposes. There should be more to come from him.

Gordon Elliott’s Halling’s Treasure and David Harry Kelly’s Railway Rule look to be the two to concentrate on in the Casey Concrete Blocks Maiden Hurdle. The latter debuts over hurdles after showing definite promise in four bumpers.

A small but select field of five go to post for the mares’ hurdle. Byerley Babe switches back to the smaller obstacles over which she scored in a Grade C handicap at Cork last year.

Paul Carberry is on Urtheoneiwant for the first time and the 116-rated filly is well treated by the terms of this race.

The Bold Beckey has hit form in October with her figures reading 412. She has to overcome an all-time-high mark of 91 in the two and a half mile handicap hurdle. Jockey Shane Crimin again takes 7lbs off. Chief Of Panama won nicely in Gowran Park and bids to follow up in the Casey Cattle Slats Handicap Hurdle. The Fitz Lady and Lindas Choice have enough in the book to be considered here as well.

Willie Mullins runs Captain Carol in the bumper and she looks poised to step up from her runner-up finish on debut at Roscommon. This is his only runner on the card. The experienced Table Tips should be on the premises.
