A Grade 3 double at Tipperary for Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh was completed when Rathvinden took the Like A Butterfly Novice Chase, the odds-on favourite delivering in impressive fashion. Sayar got the job done in good style for the Closutton team earlier in the Joe Mac Novice Hurdle and Rathvinden was even more impressive in victory.
The Heron Island gelding jumped his rivals silly from the front and Ronnie Bartlett's nine-year-old cleared away from Ask Nile in the straight for an eighteen length win.
"He was very good and he had plenty experience. He was very fit and galloped them into the ground," said Walsh.
"It was a similar sort of performance that he put up at Listowel and he likes a bit of cut in the ground and it suited him today.
"He's getting better and you'd imagine we'll look for a race in four weeks and then on to the Drinmore in Fairyhouse, all being well."
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Potters Point trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.
