RSA on agenda for Uimhiraceathair
Uimhiraceathair looked a smart prospect when making a winning debut over fences in the novice chase at Gowran Park.
Ruby Walsh sent his mount to the front two from home and he went on for a cosy six-length victory over Orpheus Valley in a hot contest.
"We have so many novice chasers to get out and he's such a good leaper I thought I'd let him take his chance against some of the better novices," said trainer Willie Mullins afterwards.
"It was a good performance and we'll up him in grade now and see where it leads us.
"I would have the RSA Chase in the back of my mind after that performance. Me and Ruby were discussing beforehand that he would prefer better ground so it all points to the spring."
It was a double for Mullins and Walsh after the victory over Secant Star in the opener.
