Kevin Manning recorded his 18th winner of the season when steering the Jim Bolger trained Queen Andromache to win the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.

Manning who was hard at work aboard the daughter of Distorted Humor from over two furlongs out responded well to pressure to get up in closing stages for a two length win over Ice Empress

Ger Flynn who was representing the winning trainer stated: “We’ll see what the handicapper does before we make any plans.”

“She is improving all of the time and it was nice to have a winner for the owner Michael Ryan."
