Oisin Orr produced Louis Leroy with a well-timed run to claim the six-furlong apprentice handicap at Naas.
The 15/8 favourite chased down Shinyhappyjohn inside the final furlong to secure a three-parts-of-a-length victory close home.
The Eddie Lynam-trained gelding was a winner over course and distance on his last visit to Naas last September.
“He got there in the end - he took his time. He's a very good rider - a cool kid,” said Lynam.
“The owner Trevor Dalzell has been with me a long time and is a gentleman. I always like to train a winner for him.”
