Oranmore (8/1, from 14s before the off) was prominent throughout in the McNally's Pharmacy 365 Handicap, confined to maidens, and Chris Hayes led him stride on in front heading down the back straight.
Luke Comer 's homebred son of Bashkirov, placed at Leopardstown on his previous start, had all his rivals in trouble turning for home and kept up the gallop to beat Fire Coral by three and a half lengths.
Assistant trainer Jim Gorman, successful earlier on the card with his own horse Plugged In said: “He ran well in Leopardstown and we just love this place. It’s been so lucky for me and Luke down through the years.
“He locked on a bit going down the back and Chris just let him go forward. He stays well and I was surprised he handled the ground so well but he did. We’ll see what the handicapper does to him.
“It’s been a great evening.”
