Neverfindanother U won her second race over course and distance when coming out the right side of a three-way photo finish to Division l of the Three Men, Ten Years, And A Dream Apprentice Handicap at Dundalk.
The Thomas Gibney trained four-year-old had opened her account at this track back in March, having finished runner-up on her previous visit a month earlier.
After a promising run on turf at Leopardstown in April, the daughter of Dragon Pulse then lost her way somewhat in recent starts.
However, a return to the polytrack saw her regain the winning thread here, as she battled on strongly inside the last furlong to join Curzon Queen and Darkened in the last 100 yards before sticking her nose in front on the line to deny the latter.
Winning jockey Robert Whearty said: “She likes this surface. She also ran well when second on heavy ground at Leopardstown but just hadn’t been firing on turf during the year.
“Hopefully she will be competitive up here over the winter and I think she’ll get a mile and a half.”
