Never Ending Story justified 8/11 favouritism with a professional display in the seven furlong juvenile fillies' maiden at the Curragh.

She made a pleasing debut in third in a fillies' maiden over six furlongs at this track last month and relished the step up in trip.

Ryan Moore 's mount broke well and tracked the front-running Finsceal Go Deo throughout. She had the leader in her sights at the halfway stage and took over approaching the final quarter of a mile.

Moore asked her to put the race away on the run to the final furlong and the Dubawi filly did just that as she increased her margin.

She was kept up to her work for a smooth success. Sandy Creek (13/2) was one for the notebook as this Frankel filly ran on well in the closing stages to cut into the lead. She was a length and a quarter in arrears at the winning post. Danvers Gold (20/1) was the same distance back in third.

Aidan O'Brien said: “I'm delighted with her. She had a lovely run the first day and stepping up to seven today she was very happy, even though they went steady enough.

“Ryan was delighted with her. Dean (Gallagher) rides her out every day at home and he felt that she had really come forward.”

When asked if she could go for the Debutante and then the Moyglare he added: “I think so, and she'll be much better with a lead. She's a lovely filly, she's a lovely cruiser and quickens well. She's still a baby and I'd say that's the route to go. We'll probably stay at seven now.”
