Mr Boss Man fell when well in contention at Punchestown but he made no mistake today in the three mile one handicap chase at Kilbeggan.
The nine-year-old gelding made all under Roger Loughran and had enough artillery to see off Garrai Phaidin who looked a big danger when he closed at the second last.
Mr Boss Man (9/1) travelled the better of the two coming to the last though, and stayed on well on the short run-in to win by three parts of a length.
Garrai Phaidin was a 7/1 chance with Rock On Fruity a further half a length back in third at 6/1.
Trainer Nigel Slevin said: “That made up for the last day and I thought he was a winner without a penalty coming here. The handicapper can’t be too hard on him for that and he’s been a great old servant.
“There is a hurdle race in Bellewstown that he could go for and he’ll mix it between fences and hurdles.
“My day job is a farrier and I have seven in training at the moment.” Phil's Magic the well backed 5/1 favourite, finished fourth.
