Motherhood is a good Career Move
The Mallow Print Handicap Hurdle proved a real family success for the Harrison's as Career Move trained by Cathy Harrison and ridden by her daughter Kate, recorded a gutsy victory.
The 16/1 chance looked beaten when headed by the Ruby Walsh-ridden 5/2 favourite Rockyaboya at the last but she rallied gamely on the run-in to prevail by half a length.
The J P McManus-owned Baby Whizz was the subject of a major on-course gamble, with early offers of 16/1 soon snapped up.
Tom Mullins' charge closed to hold every chance in the straight but the 4/1 shot eventually finished another three and a half lengths adrift in third.
Cathy Harrison was represented by her husband Mike, who said: “She loves this track and has won here three times now. She is in foal about a month to High-Rise, and I think that may have improved her. She will continue to run for another while.”
