Mont Blanc got through the mud best as she took the opener at a rain soaked Wexford, the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden, for her trainer Ken Condon.
Ridden by Shane Foley the daughter of Singspiel was sent off at 8/1 on her fourth career start.
After chasing the leaders in the early stages she improved to lead three furlongs out. She was ridden and challenged over a furlong from home before keeping on well under pressure to score by a length and a half. Rigoletta finished second at 7/2 under Kevin Manning for Jim Bolger while Precious Stone was a further length and a half back in third at 9/4 for David Wachman and Billy Lee. Faanan Aldaar was sent off the 2/1 favourite for Paul Deegan and Chris Hayes but he could only manage a disappointing fourth.
Winning trainer Ken Condon said afterwards: "She was a reluctant leader at Sligo on Tuesday and she raced very green there.
"I was apprehensive about running her again so soon. She was more cooperative when she got to the front today and we will try here in a fillies handicap next."
