Miss Zizi toughed it out well from the front in the extended mile handicap for three-year-olds in Killarney.
She was there to be shot at two furlongs out but knuckled down to her task under Sean Davis. Just Sherry challenged but Miss Zizi stayed on best in the final furlong to win by an ever-decreasing neck at 12/1.
Runner-up Just Sherry was a 7/1 chance and was a length and a half in front of Chaparral Dream at 9/1.
Trainer John Oxx said: "She has been doing her best and running well but has been struggling to get into this winners' enclosure. Everything went well today and she made the running and is genuine and keeps going.
"We'll keep her in the same grade and she could come back here in August and this track suits her.
"Sean (Davis) had a few rides for us last year and had one winner which was here but he didn't finish in front on the day and was second but the winner was later disqualified when something came up in the sample.
"He's a good lad and when he came down to ride for me last year he was claiming 5lb but due to the new rules now claims 7lb. The 7lb made all the difference today."
Sean Davis added: "I did (fancy my chances today) because I thought the track would suit and the trip would suit. Mr Oxx was very confident in her today as well.
"She jumped a little bit awkward and she took me there to the front. Once she got in front she settled and I got around the bend well I thought I would be hard caught turning in. It was just a matter of staying going. She stayed well."
