Miss Mardan improved one placing on two previous runner-up efforts when winning the concluding Sign Up For Fairyhouse Newsletter Mares Bumper at Fairyhouse today for the father and son/ trainer and jockey combination of Sean Byrne senior and Sean Byrne junior.

The winner stayed on well in the straight for a four and a half lengths win over Perfect Promise and Byrne senior later stated “she's a good mare and improved a lot from the last day.

“She could go for the Aintree Bumper but first we'll look for a Winners' Bumper in a fortnight or month's time.”
