Darragh O'Sullivan rode his second winner in as many days when guiding the Ciaran Murphy trained Mile End to an emphatic success in the Barney Curley Apprentice Series Final Apprentice Handicap at Bellewstown.

O'Sullivan, who was on the mark with Run Forrest Run at Cork on Tuesday, showcased his talents once again with a stylish ride on the 18/1 outsider.

Held up in mid division of the seven strong field, Mile End moved closer on the outer over two furlongs out.

Travelling easily to go second entering the home straight, the four-year-old soon led, quickening clear on the bridle to win easily by three-and-three-quarter lengths.

Darragh O'Sullivan said: "Very easy now, she scooted into it.

"Her recent form was okay, but we were confident of a good run.

"She handled it (ground) very well, she travelled great throughout. She picked up very, very easily, in fairness to her.

"She should now (improve), she has got her head in front and might keep going now.

"I'm riding winners for all different trainers, so I'm delighted."

Jack Cleary pipped Amy Jo Hayes (76-74 to win the Barney Curley D.A.F.A Apprentice Series Bursary programme after a runner-up berth on Copie Conforme in this final race of the series.
