Gold Cup winning jockey Rachael Blackmore partnered her second winner of the new season today on Henry De Bromhead's Marvel De Cerisy (4/7f), which easily won Killarney's Seamus Weldon John Deere Maiden Hurdle.
The son of Masked Marvel was a point-to-point winner on debut for trainer Pat Doyle in April 2021 and today improved on a most recent runner-up placing at Naas in February when scoring easily by 19 lengths from 102 rated Babylon Beach
Afterwards Blackmore said “we went a good gallop everywhere and that helped me.
“He had been knocking on the door, ran well the last day in Naas and it was great to get his head in front today.”
