We saw the benefit of a hood on Above The Law in the opener and Maontri gained her third victory in a row since equipped with that headgear, again scoring under Colin Keane in the www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap.
The seven-year-old daughter of Catcher In The Rye travelled well to the straight but she had to be tough and brave from the two furlong pole.
The top-weight, who began her winning spree here on January 3rd, is owned and trained and indeed was bred too by Matty Tynan in Fethard, County Tipperary, and she again did him proud here, drawing away inside the last to defeat Captain Cullen by three and a quarter lengths.
Tynan commented: "Her sister is called Like A Dream and this is like a dream. It's unbelievable to get three wins in fourteen days.
"Dixie Sheehan who looks after her has done a great job in keeping her fresh for that length of time.
"We've been waiting five years and now we've won three in fourteen days.
"We wouldn't have run her but she was so fresh and the handicapper is after giving her twenty five pounds.
"You won't win anything at home so we said we'd keep going when she was in good form.
"I don't think there's anything more here for her and she might have a break."
Tynan also hinted that he may try to get a bit of black-type into his charge as she hails from a good family. (GC & EM)
