Make Clear made a great start for new connections when showing tremendous speed throughout to land the Grand National Lucky Dip At BetVictor Handicap at Dundalk.
The daughter of Tasleet was sold for just 7,000 guineas soon after winning at Lingfield for Robert Cowell in February but was very weak in the market here drifting out from 6/1 this morning to 16/1.
Shane Foley ’s mount bounced out of the stalls to make all and was driven out inside the final furlong to hold off Phil’s Dream by half-a-length.
Winning trainer Peter McCreery said, "In all of her races in England, she was like lightning out of the stalls and flew out of them.
"Shane had ridden her twice for us on the Curragh, so he was confident.
"She had winning form in Lingfield and was second three or four times as well.
"It (7,000 guineas price) looks alright this evening!"
