The Sheila Lavery-trained Supreme Machine stormed home from the rear to land the concluding Kanturk Handicap at Cork this evening.
The ten furlong contest was run at a searching pace as Ernest Loring took it up shortly after the start and established a healthy lead before halfway.
That rival stopped quickly a furlong-and-a-half from home and it was Supreme Machine who stayed on best of the chasing pack.
Gary Carroll got a good tune from the Mehmas filly as she swooped to lead inside the final furlong and record a length-and-a-quarter success over Ten Ten Twenty
The 7/1 winner had dropped a couple of pounds after finishing sixth on her most recent outing at Navan 13 days ago.
Carroll said afterwards:- "Sheila said she was coming and improving with her runs.
“She has been a bit slow out of the gates and today she jumped really well and I could have went forward but we were going a really good gallop so I left them go.
"She picked up well in the straight and I hit the line strong and had a fair job pulling her up. She'll win again."
