The 4/1 favourite L’or Des Roses made short work of his sixteen rivals in the first division of the 80-95 rated handicap hurdle.
Ben Harvey quickly had the French-bred five-year-old, trained by his grandfather David, at the head of affairs and the grey went along in a lovely rhythm and jumped well. He had everything behind him off the bridle racing to the second-last and came home an easy eight lengths winner from Londonofficecallin
It was a first success for L’or Des Roses who had been a distant second to Appian Way on yielding ground at Downpatrick on handicap debut.
The winning rider said: "He is owned by my dad, trained by my grandad so that'll keep connections happy for another while - it's great to get a winner for them.
"He is a really straightforward horse in every way, is easy to train and jumps and travels. He is a pleasure to deal with. The ground at Downpatrick the last day found him out, all his four runs had been at Downpatrick so a more conventional galloping track may have brought about the improvement.
"I wouldn't say he would go on winter ground as he is only handy and got away with it today."
