Le Martalin and Ornua are the stand-out names in the feature at Wexford this evening, the Brendan Cullimore Electrical Novice Chase.
The Noel Meade-trained former came out on top when these two clashed at Killarney in May, with Ornua back in third.
Le Martalin since finished second to the smart Cadmium at Roscommon, while Henry de Bromhead’s Ornua put in an impressive front-running display to win over the course and distance on June 20.
Tramore winners Ask Susan and Icelip complete the line-up, along with Silent Account who looks to have it all to do.
Noel Meade again appears to have strong claims in the Flood Ironworks Ltd. Beginners Chase, with Clara Sorrento his representative.
This French-bred seven-year-old has finished second on his last three starts, and has most to fear from Wonderoftheworld Cotton Jenny and Ah Littleluck
The remaining chase on the programme, the Michael Moore Mercedes-Benz & Volkswagen, Portarlington & Athlone Handicap, looks a much more competitive affair.
Fourteen are set to take part in this two-and-a-half-mile contest, with Dark Outsider Robin De Roost and recent course winner Better B Quick a few for the shortlist.
Danny Mullins will be aboard Dark Outsider, and he takes the ride on Agusta Gold for his mother, Mags, in the opening [email protected] Mares Maiden Hurdle.
This daughter of Gold Well was a disappointing fourth on her debut over timber at Killarney in May, but a much-improved performance can be expected from her now. Border Control Cooldine Bog Court Tycoon and Shetland Bus look the ones to focus on in the Flood Ironworks Ltd. Maiden Hurdle, while Rathnaleen Girl is the clear form choice in the Mary Barry’s Seafood Bar Handicap Hurdle.
Eight have been declared for the concluding Michael Moore Mercedes-Benz & Volkswagen, Portarlington & Athlone Flat Race, with newcomer Native Script the most interesting of these.
Patrick Mullins has been booked to ride this Jim Bolger-trained gelding who is a full-brother to six-time winner Upswing.
Significantly Mullins has opted to ride Native Script over fellow newcomer Little Nugget who is trained by his father, Willie.
