Koybig scored on just his second outing for Kilkenny trainer Pat Murphy when reversing previous course places with Indian Tomahawk in the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Stadium Handicap.
The well-backed 3/1 joint favourite led over a furlong out for Chris Hayes, and kept on well to score by a length. Indian Tomahawk had enjoyed a head verdict here 12 days previously. Turn On The Tears held every chance just a neck further back in third.
The top-weight won over the same mile for Ken Condon over two years ago and has moved yards a few times since.
Pat Murphy, “We just wanted to sweeten him up and get him back on the bridle and racing again. He ran well here last time and has improved from that run.”
