Kissable claims opener
Kissable from the Kevin Prendergast stable justified her short price when taking the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden under Declan McDonogh.
McDonogh had to work hard aboard the 8/11 favourite from over a furlong out but the filly responded well to pressure to get up and lead close home and deny Palinode by a neck.
James Kelly racing manager to winning owner Lady O’Reilly said: “We’re delighted with that win.
"Declan [McDonogh] thought the ground might have been a shade quick for her but Leopardstown always do such a terrific job with the ground it’s always safe.”
“All going well she’ll run in the fillies Group 3 at the Curragh on July 14th and if that goes well then maybe the Moyglare Stakes. Declan says she rides like an Oaks filly.”
“Kevin [Prendergast] thinks the world of her she’s just a bit of a slow learner.”
