Jockey Shane Foley completed a double at Dundalk this evening when his mount Kharezi in the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Maiden (div 2), put his previous course form to good use when readily winning.
The son of Bachelor Duke chased the leaders before moving to the front under two furlongs out. The winner did edge a little left under pressure in the closing stages, when well clear, but comfortably defeated Busted Tycoon
Winning trainer John McConnell was not present but Foley later said “I didn't think I was that far in front! They went a nice gallop and he stays well. He'd a few nice runs here before.”
