Colin Keane completed a 20/1 double on the evening at Dundalk when Super Over recorded a gutsy success in the Peter Fitzpatrick Leod Quarries Handicap.
The six-year-old gelding was scoring for the third time at this venue for trainer Denis Coakley and was well supported earlier in the day from 3/1. Brains made a bold bid from the front and was only reeled in by the 2/1 favourite in the final 100 yards.
Half-a-length separated the pair at the line with Not Forgotten just a neck back in third.
Keane said, "I've been fortunate enough to get to ride him in his last couple of runs and he bumped into two solid horses the last day.
"I said to Denis to maybe change around the headgear with him. He put the visor on him today and I'd say it brought out a little bit more improvement. A horse at his age and knowledge, he's just getting a bit cute.
"He's very consistent and he loves this place, and he was good and gutsy. He's a jockey's dream ride - he wings the gates, he relaxes and he is very straightforward."
The champion jockey was also on the mark earlier aboard Hurricane Helen (6/1) in the McCandless Komatsu Handicap.
