The 1/1 favourite Interpretation demonstrated once again that he’s a difficult horse to get past with an all the way success in the Listed Vinnie Roe Stakes.

As was the case in his previous two wins at the Curragh and more recently this venue, the Galileo colt was soon in front under Ryan Moore. Fernando Vichi (4/1) moved up to eyeball the leader three furlongs out but couldn’t get by and Interpretation started to forge ahead racing to the furlong marker.

Kept up to his work, Aidan O’Brien’s charge came home a length and three quarters ahead of Fernando Vichi.

“He has a super attitude and is very uncomplicated,” said Moore.

“He keeps galloping but he would have been very comfortable even coming back in trip today.

“That was the slowest ground he’s run on this year but he’s handled it well.”

Paddy Power go 20/1 (from 40s) about the winner for next month’s St Leger.
