Instant Impacked opened his account 'under rules' when keeping on strongly to land the 2m1f handicap chase at Ballinrobe.
Philip Enright sent his mount into the lead at the third last and he stuck to his task well in the closing stages. Good Decision looked a big threat going to two out but couldn't peg the 10/1 winner back from the last, going down by two-and-three-quarter lengths.
Robert Tyner 's charge won a point-to-point this time last year and had run with plenty of credit at Limerick earlier this month.
"That seems to be the ground he wants. If he comes out of this ok he'll go for something similar," said the trainer's wife Mary afterwards.
"He has been very disappointing but did it right today."
