Gordon Elliott's Shecouldbeanything brought up her hat-trick over fences in the Mahon Falls Mares Chase at Clonmel.
Just the three runners went to post for this extended two-and-a-quarter-mile test with Calico and Mount Sinai ruled out.
Shecouldbeanything went off 4/6 favourite to account for Space Tourist who was backed down to 6/5, and the outsider Andyourbirdcansing
It boiled down to a match between the 'big two' approaching the home bend when Shecouldbeanything got on terms with Space Tourist.
She led narrowly in the straight as the pair undertook the long run to the final fence. The margin was increased to a couple of lengths as Shecouldbeanything approached the last. Space Tourist veered left and was awkward over it as Shecouldbeanything bounded in by five lengths from the runner-up.
Jockey Sam Ewing said: "She is a cracking mare, is so straightforward and has been very good in all her starts over fences, so hopefully can stay improving.
"The only time she has been beaten over fences was by Jesse Evans at Galway in what was a very good race.
"The other mare (Space Tourist) didn't help her most of the way around although she had that company and is so straightforward.
"I was just a passenger really although it is a long way up the straight with only one fence."
Owner Michael Hanrahan's wife passed away last week.
