There was no living with High Nellie from the front as the daughter of High Chaparral landed the featured Waterford & Tramore Racecourse Annual Members Chase.

Cathal Landers' mount threw a flying leap at the last to cement her four and a quarter length success over All Hell Let Loose

High Nellie was backed from 8/1 into 5/1 on track, and from bigger earlier on.

Owned trained and bred by Michael Bowe, the eight-year-old's performance here prompted the man that know her best to say: "She is actually improving faster than I can keep up with! I knew by her attitude at home, after her win in Cork two weeks ago, that she was a completely different mare, she was enjoying life. She has taken to this chasing game like a duck to water. 

"She is a mare that is on the improve and I don't know where it'll stop, I just hope I can keep her in that form. What amazes me most is that she can handle that ground (heavy).

"She won her maiden hurdle in Wexford on good to firm, and she was solely dependent on a sound surface. She seems to be able to cope with that ground now. 

"It's incredible the improvement. I have no plans only to take her home. Cathal rode her brilliantly, he rides her out at home and knows her well. We'll see what's in Punchestown. I just hope she handles the good ground now!"

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pylonthepressure trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

P. Townend, rider of Pylonthepressure trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not jump and never travelled.
