The feature race on the card this evening at Sligo, the Rosses Point Handicap went to the 11/4 second favourite Dodging Bullets for trainer Andy Oliver with Ben Curtis aboard.

The son of Dubawi finally got his head in front last time out in a handicap at the Galway Festival on what was his eighth career start. He had been placed four times before that win in maiden company.

Bred by none other than Frankie Dettori, the winner was waited with in fourth for much of the race. He then made good progress to lead two furlongs from home and despite being challenged by Hisaabaat inside the final furlong he stayed on well to assert close home.

Having opened at 9/2 this morning, the winner was returned the 11/4 second favourite, while the runner-up Hisaabaat, who finished half a length behind, drifted from his morning price of 10/3 out to 5/1 at the off.

The 13/8 favourite, Dawariya for John Oxx and Johnny Murtagh ran no sort of race and finished a disappointing fourth of the five runners.

Winning trainer Andy Oliver said afterwards: "It looked like a competitive enough race beforehand. Ben gave him a super ride. We decided to settle off the pace today and he picked up well.

"We will see what the handicapper does with him now. He is not lacking in pace and will go for a race between a mile to a mile and two furlongs next."
