Nulife gained a third career win at Gowran today when landing the Gowran Park Handicap, and is already part of his trainer Denis Hogan's army of entries for Monday's curtain raiser for the Galway festival.
Nulife was today steered to his second flat handicap success by jockey Killian Leonard, with the pair running out the length and three parts victor over Acari
Leonard later stated “he did it well. I was talking to Colin Keane (who rode him to win at Dundalk in March) and he said he can be a bit leery when he gets there. He travelled away sweet in fourth the whole way around and I was able to get a breather in down the hill.
“The leaders weren't going to take me too far and they took me to a furlong and a half out. When he got there he didn't do a whole lot but he did enough for me.
“Once I got him balanced and got him rolling again at the furlong pole he picked up again and hit the line well.”
Trainer Hogan was recording his fifth winner in three weeks as his team of horses, which includes 22 entries (from 21 horses, including Nulife) on Monday, gears towards Ballybrit.
