The Jessica Harrington trained Green Impact justified favouritism when keeping on best to win the opening Frank Conroy Irish EBF Maiden at Leopardstown.
Runner-up on his racecourse debut at the Curragh last month, the colt was sent off 11/8f to go one better under Shane Foley.
Prominent from stalls, the eventual winner tracked Glen To Glen for much of the race, before being pushed along to edge closer entering the straight.
Leading over two furlongs out, Green Impact kept on strongly inside the final furlong to beat the staying on Ballydoyle newcomer Delacroix by a length-and-a-half.
“It's great to get that, he a lovely horse. He's the first horse that Marc Chan has ever bred so he's very excited,” said Jessica Harrington.
“He's a very laid back horse, a big horse, and he's probably a little bit on the weak side still.
“We'll give him a bit of time and we probably won't be going anywhere in a hurry. There are plenty of mile races in the autumn. He's got some entries.
“We'll see how he comes out of this and go from there. Whatever he does now he's going to get better.”
