Jessica Harrington added a Limerick treble today to a Leopardstown double, as Aurora Princess was her fourth winner of the day, in the Annacotty Rated Race at the Munster track.
Winning jockey Scott McCullagh has steered Aurora Princess to all five official wins and today produced the daughter of The Gurkha to lead in the final furlong, for a three parts of a length win over Monzoon
Harrington's earlier winners at Limerick were with Dairerin and Himalayan Beauty while at Leopardstown Ha Ha Ha and Jungle Cove completed a five-timer on the day, at combined odds of 18,741/1.
Following Aurora Princess' success, McCullagh reported “she’s been great to me. She’s very genuine and she seems to like those small-runner fields, and today she jumped and travelled, which she hasn’t done in the last two.
"The horses are starting to hit a bit of form now - Mrs Harrington’s horses had a bit of a quiet spell, but they’re coming good. It’s my eighth one of the season and I have three winners left of the five pounds claim.”
All five of Harrington's winners today were ridden by different jockeys, including McCullagh's father jockey Niall McCullagh on Dairerin, along with Tom Madden (Himalayan Beauty), stable jockey Shane Foley (Ha Ha Ha) and 16 year old Dylan Kidd, who got off the mark on his first ride, on Jungle Cove in Leopardstown's €100,000 Nasrullah Handicap.
Aurora Princess' other 'success' was infamously gained at last summer's Galway Festival when mistaken for stablemate Alizarine and winning a juvenile maiden aged three, before subsequent disqualification.
