Paddy Harnett came in for a winning spare on 5/1 shot Boughtinthedark in the extended five furlong handicap at Navan.
Joey Sheridan was booked for the ride on Denis Hogan's four-year-old filly but failed to complete the medical screening leading to the call up for the 7lb claimer.
Boughtinthedark won over course and distance just under two weeks ago and confirmed her rude health by following up today.
She began to move into a threatening third at the halfway stage and raced past Face Off coming to the final furlong.
She was driven out by Harnett to account for Face Off (8/1) by three quarters of a length. Ticks The Boxes (7/1) came in third, a further half a length in arrears.
Paddy Harnett said: "I suppose I was in the right place at the right time. I'm lucky to get the ride so I'm delighted.
"I was just keeping to the good ground, not used ground. That's probably the place to be at the moment.
"I rode a good few for him (Denis Hogan) at Dundalk in the winter, he kept me busy and it's my first winner for him."
