Co Limerick trainer Austin Leahy registered his first winner of the new Flat season when his Gra Geal Mo Chroi landed the Mitchelstown GAA Handicap at Cork today.

Ridden by last season's Champion Apprentice Emmet McNamara, Gra Geal Mo Chroi quickened to lead under a furlong out, eventually defeating Musical Review by two and a half lengths.

Afterwards Leahy stated "the form of Gra Geal Mo Chroi's run at Limerick has worked out well and we'll go back there on April 21 for another handicap next."
