Gotthenod provided Dot Love with a second success in as many days, as she ran out a comfortable winner of the FitzpatrickPromotions.ie Mares Handicap Hurdle .
Having sprang a 40/1 surprise at Wexford last month, the six-year-old chestnut since disappointed at Listowel and was sent off a 16/1 chance today.
Settled in mid-division by Simon Torrens, the daughter of Famous Name took closer order from the third last and was pushed along in fifth at they entered the straight.
She got a dream run through between rivals on the approach to the final flight and soon led, keeping on strongly from there to record a seven length success. Paula's Prayer (8/1) had to settle for the runner-up berth, with Ricky Doyle aboard this Conor O'Dwyer trained bay. Two Shoe Tom who was returned the well-backed 7/2 favourite (from 10s early), was another seven-and-a-half lengths back in third, while Wild Desire (10/1) was fourth.
Assistant trainer Ciaran Murphy said afterwards: "To be honest I thought she'd win in Listowel but she showed in season when she got back into the stable so we knew that was all wrong.
"Two miles is a bit sharp for her but she loves that ground. They were going plenty quick for her early but once they started to come back she took off.
"Hopefully she can win another couple and she will go chasing at some stage. That is going to be her job."
Dot Love was the on the mark at Punchestown yesterday with Jack Hackett.
