Roscommon is now Yielding to Soft on the flat course and Yielding on the National Hunt track following 8mm of rain since 12pm. Heavy showers are forecast.
The first of seven races is at 5.55pm. There are four flat races, a bumper and two steeplechases.
There is plenty of money around in the opener for The Compeller trained by Ken Condon. The three-year-old has been backed from 11/2 to as short as 15/8.
Meanwhile, the going at Cork, ahead of racing on Friday, is currently Yielding to Soft on the round flat course and Soft on the sprint track. The forecast is unsettled over the next couple of days.
The ground at the Curragh is now Yielding after 4.5mm of rain overnight. The forecast is for showers today and tomorrow, but mainly dry thereafter. The 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas will be held on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
Clonmel reports its going to be Good after 5mm of rain overnight. Racing takes place there on Thursday.
The ground at Sligo remains Good to Yielding after 3.5mm of rain overnight. A jumps fixture is scheduled for Wednesday.
