Glor Tire showed promise in seven outings last term and showed improved form on her seasonal debut to take the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden in convincing fashion.
The Jim Bolger-trained daughter of Teofilo was never too far from the pace and quickened clear inside the final 150 yards under Andrew Slattery to beat Iseult Of Ireland by four and a quarter lengths. Victoria Kesia was just a short-head further back in third.
Bolger said, “She’s done well over the winter and got a bit stronger. The trip helps as well.
“I didn’t think she would handle the ground but I took a chance.”
