Boom Boom Boom landed a gamble in the last at Dundalk, as he comfortably dismissed his 13 rivals in the second divide of the View Restaurant At Dundalk Handicap.
Successful at Navan on his penultimate start in July, the Charles Byrnes trained five-year-old since disappointed at Bellewstown when proving very easy to back.
Available at 11/2 in early shows, the son of Raven's Pass eventually went off the 11/4 favourite under Gary Halpin.
Given a patient ride, the chestnut victor made smooth headway from the two-furlong pole and swept to the front inside the final 150 yards, going on to score easily by two-and-a-half lengths.
.Pepsiwithacap (25/1), who got in as first reserve, finished second under Robert Whearty for Gavin Cromwell, while Lariat (10/1) was four lengths back in third.
"He's probably in a grade where he can be competitive again," Halpin said.
"Charles's horses are in good form and I'm lucky I can get on a winner for him.
"Both races (here and Navan) had something in common, they weren't great contests.
"Eamonn O'Connell's horse (Dragon Roll) was stepping up (in trip) and got an 8lb penalty.
"I just think it was a weak contest and he was good on the day."
