Jimmy Finn sent out his second winner in as many days as Coldstonesober sprung a 33/1 surprise in the Today FM Ladies National Handicap Chase under Aine O'Connor at Fairyhouse.
Count Tipperary-based Finn was on the mark at Cork yesterday with 20/1 shot Little Misshamrock and here Coldstonesober defeated Mtada Supreme by five lengths. There was no less than thirty four lengths back to Thomond in third. Whatareudoingtome and Cecil Corbett were still on the premises when departing independently at the second last fence.
"He's a great old boy. The horses weren't too well at the back end of last year and just weren't firing but they are coming back healthy again," said Finn.
"There is a race for him at Tipperary on May 11th. He likes it there, he's won and been placed around the track.
"He just loves a bit of nice ground and it's nice to get it. She had to go very wide to get it today as they put a lot of water on it."
Aine O'Connor was on a trip home to ride at Fairyhouse as she's currently based cross-channel with Harry Fry.
