On her fifteenth career start the gambled on Money Spider finally got it right as she took the last at Naas, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden, for David Wachman and Wayne Lordan.
The 3yo daughter of Danehill Dancer was as big as 7/1 this morning before opening on track at 5/1.
She was then backed from 5/1 on course into 5/2 second favourite at the off.
Having raced in mid-division in the early stages of the one mile contest she made headway to challenge and was ridden into the lead a furlong out.
Despite soon edging left she was driven out by Lordan and drew clear in the final 100 yards to score by three and three parts of a length at the line.
The 7/4 favourite Slipper Orchid had to settle for second under Shane Foley for Mick Halford while Empress Of Tara was a further length and a half back in third for Jessica Harrington and Conor Hoban at 25/1.
Winning rider Wayne Lordan said afterwards: "That was well deserved. She had been running well all season and they went a good gallop up front which suited me. Once she hit the front she picked up quite well."
Money Spider was dropping back to maiden company today after having her last eleven runs in handicaps.
She finished a decent third last time out at Galway last Monday behind the Willie McCreery trained Kanes Pass.
