Grey horse Bell Weir showed a good turn of foot to land the bumper at Cork with Pat Collins doing the steering.

The Eoin Doyle-trained four-year-old raced just behind the leaders before hitting the front over a furlong out and galloped away for a three-length success.

He won at 6/1 today and showed the benefit of three bumper outings this season. His best finish had come at Clonmel last-time out when second to Posiden Sea.

2/1 favourite Aerlite Supreme kept on for second with Wedding Present a neck away in third at 14/1.

There was a major gamble on Blazing Warrior who was 20/1 this morning. His SP was 7/2. In the race he weakened quickly and was pulled up five furlongs out. Unfortunately it transpired that he died of a suspected heart attack.
