Sangria beats El Valle

Dundalk's second race winner today, the Joseph O'Brien trained Sangria is set for possible disqualification as his jockey Mikey Sheehy carried an incorrect claim in today's opening two races.
Backers of well-supported 5/2 favourite Sangria have been, and will continue to be paid their winnings as the 'Winner Alright' notification was given, but it since emerged that Sheehy carried a 5lbs claim, instead of 3lbs.
Sheehy's win on Arcanears at the Co Louth venue last Friday moved the jockey to 65 winners, which should have triggered a reduction of his claim but was missed by both the rider and administrators.
The matter has been sent to the IHRB for further investigation and Sheehy's first ride today, third-placed Viv Vance in the Claimer, also faces possible disqualification in the coming days.
Further chaos was prevented before the fourth race however, as Sheehy's correct 3lbs claim was utilised on third-placed Swiss Army Officer The rider also claimed 3lbs in two further races.
Were Sangria to be disqualified at a later date, runner-up in the race El Valle trained by Kevin Prendergast and ridden by Chris Hayes, would be the principal beneficiary.
