The Cleveragh Hurdle saw Call Me Lyreen (10/3) follow up his debut win at Tramore last month with a length and a half win from the 11/8 favourite Farceur Du Large

The Court Cave gelding, the only 4-year-old in the line-up for this winners-of-one, tracked the leaders before challenging stablemate, and eventual third, One Down before the final flight.

He led early on the run-in and kept on well to score with a bit to spare, giving Gordon Elliott and winning rider Keith Donoghue quick doubles on the card after impressive juvenile hurdler Glorious Zoff in the opener.

“He did it very well and is a nice horse, said Donoghue, who’s now on the 24 winner mark for the season.

"He travelled and jumped well. I think you’ll see the best of him when he gets out onto a galloping track.

“Two runs, two wins, he’s an exciting horse and he’ll stay a bit further too.”
