Devils proves different class
Devils Bit never had to hit top gear to land the spoils in the juvenile maiden hurdle at Wexford.
Sean McDermott gave the Montjeu colt a confident ride, cruising through into contention after the second last.
John O'Shea 's charge hit the front before the final flight and didn't need to come off the bridle to score by four-and-a-lengths from Luddenmore
"He was entitled to win that. He wasn't right all winter and it's the first time I've been happy with him," said O'Shea.
"He might go to Punchestown and there is a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse also. He won't mind better ground."
The winner carried the familiar colours of Dubliner Eddie Donegan, who has six in training with O'Shea.
